Simulation of indoor harmful gas dispersion and airflow using three-dimensional lattice Boltzmann method based large-eddy simulation

The lattice Boltzmann method (LBM) and large-eddy simulation (LES) are combined with a scalar subgrid-scale model to simulate the indoor air velocity field harmful gas dispersion. LBM-LES is validated by comparing its results published experimental numerical results. Taking simplified chemical building as scenario, relative ventilation efficiency evaluated based on maximum concentration, configurations centralized distributed sources both mixing (MV) displacement (DV) systems considered. According results, if density of less than density, DV system more efficient MV system. stable under fluctuating due changes in distance between vents exhaust vent.
